Lead with Care from Anywhere
"We are all leaders, not because we rule but because we truly care"
How did we get here together?
We might know each other from recent data science work in the NHS / UK public sector or from my 30yrs+ work in the tech sector across Intel, KPMG, Unilever, EMC/Dell, SAS Institute, IBM and Microsoft partners. You might get to know me through my work coaching and facilitating change with senior leaders in the NHS, local government and tech companies.
Leading from anywhere
You don’t need positional power to be a leader. Great leaders encourage their colleagues to lead. They know when to conduct and when to play the accompanying piano. A team of leaders is a powerful and adaptable unit (think the SAS or Navy Seals). Amazing leaders really care about how they show up, think and act.
So how do you show up as “the leader you’d like to work with or for”?
Rarely are we taught this and we cannot learn it alone. My contribution is this peer learning community to share the fundamentals learned over decades from ten of thousands of conversations (some might be with you!), thousands of collaborative projects/experiences and hundreds of books/publications. We’ll also learn from each other because “every day is a school day”!
I’ll be sharing weekly short posts, with a monthly deep insight and optional community virtual meet-up for paid subscribers.
What’s next?
In my next post, I’ll share the three questions that help us get started with complex quests. Things that we’re not really sure how to tackle. It could be a new role, challenging project/programme, securing a big deal, starting a new venture, even raising a child!
So when the time is right, is it the Red or Blue pill? You know where the blue pill takes you, fancy trying the red pill and seeing the world differently?
